Women escaping domestic violence face financial and logistical obstacles, but thankfully businesses and community members are partnering with non-profit organization #MovetoEndDV to remove these paralyzing barriers.

Moving company Meathead Movers, for example, has provided free moving services to over 300 women escaping domestic violence and partners with women’s shelters in Southern California to facilitate a smooth and, most importantly, safe process. Most recently, renowned Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Marc Mani pledged to provide free reconstructive surgery to victims and survivors of domestic violence.
To commemorate the addition of Dr. Mani as an ambassador of the organization and further the mission of ending domestic violence once and for all, #MovetoEndDV hosted “A Night Out” fundraiser at Alessandro Casalino’s new Alma Salon in Beverly Hills. Community members, friends, and celebrities attended the fundraiser and enjoyed small bites and refreshments. A portrait of Frank Sinatra taking a selfie painted by Dr. Mani entitled “Legends and Ephemera” was auctioned for $5,000. Watch the video below to hear Dr. Mani speak about his decision to partner with #MovetoEndDV and learn more about the organization’s mission:
